About the Item

19th century French painted bergere beautifully upholstered in an off white fabric. The chair was recently acquired from an estate with a fabulous corner apartment in the exclusive Carlyle building in Manhattan. The owner furnished most of the apartment from antiques shops in Paris. The bergere is comfortable and has just the right amount of patina with areas of paint loss and rubbing.
