About the Item

We are delighted to offer this stunning pair of original circa 1860-1870 Napoleon III Louis XVI style bergère armchairs which are part of a suite These chairs come with a matching parlour settee which is listed under my other items They are a truly stunning pair of chairs, very comfortable and with Chesterfield tufted backs. The bergère is all in very fine order, the frames are ornately carved all over with floral details and reeded legs. The upholstery is silk threaded and has a very soft cream and salmon pink to it Condition wise the pair are in very fine order, there will naturally be age and use related patina marks here and there but nothing you would expect from 150+ year old chairs Dimensions Height:- 85.5cm Width:- 76.5cm Depth:- 54.5cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point This item is available for collection from our Pulborough warehouses Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description pertaining to the condition. Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of creasing and wear, we recommend annual waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
