Fine Pair of Painted Bergeres in French Linen, 19th Century

About the Item

Pair of bergeres, having a painted frame with natural wear to finish; each bowed gadrooned crestrail continues into downswept arms, outcarved with graduated husking, finishing with scrolls, similarly carved terminals flank its crown seat, on conforming fielded seatrail carved with cockbeading, raised on rosette-headed round tapering fluted legs, terminating in touipe feet. Upholstered in linen with nailheads. Stock ID: D1942
