Pair Elegant Carved Upholstered Fauteuils inLouis XVI Style
About the Item
An elegant pair of Louis XVI Style Chairs dating to the earlier half of the 20th Century. In a dark stain, the oval backs with carved floral crest rail with ribbon crest, and ribbon twist frames overall. Leafy scrolled arm ends and leafy supports. Raised on fluted tapering cylindrical legs with rosette tops. Upholstered in a fine pale yellow damask style fabric.
H. 42 1/2", W. 24", Depth 18", seat H. 20"
Condition: Please see detail photos. There are various acceptable signs of age including age-related wear to the frames with finish loss as well as a few marks to the fabric and scrapes to the legs which do not detract from the refined presentation.
