Pair of 19th Century French Louis XV Style Carved Beechwood Armchairs

About the Item

A pair of salon scale Louis XV style open armchairs, the frames in deeply carved stained beechwood. The back of the chair is slightly reclined. The shaped back/top with rounded shoulders has a large carved shell in the middle flanked with scroll work as is the front of the chair seat and the two front curved legs, also topped with a shell and scroll. The chairs have been recently re-upholstered in a complimentary striped/floral silk fabric
