This is a very beautiful and rare "corbeille" style of bergere chair. The chair is shaped like an open basket and is very comfortable and classic. The chair has considerable and quite beautiful distressing and painted details. The carving is exceptional and in tact. The upholstery has stains from age and use. The chair measures 35 tall x 34.5 wide x 25.5 deep and the seat height is 17.75 from the floor. This is a 1920s French-made chair.
