18th Century Four Italian Baroque Carved Giltwood Chairs

About the Item

18th Century Four Italian Baroque Carved giltwood Chairs The four fine chairs were made in Rome (Italy) around the middle of the eighteenth century in the Baroque era. The carved and gilded wooden structure has sculptures with floral and vegetable decorations. The backrest, shaped and moved, as well as the band under the seat, have a decoration to lathes with daisies and phytomorphic elements. The band under the seat is then decorated with garlands of laurel leaf. The four legs are arched and moved. Originally, they have carvings with round and daisies and foliated elements on the pillars; the legs end with lion legs. These refined chairs can be exhibited in prestigious and formal environments as well as in salons or private entrances. They are very beautiful together giving richness and brightness as well as great furniture. However, they can also be used in pairs in different environments, and can be combined with antique furniture as well as those of contemporary taste.
