About the Item
D. José chair in rosewood. Carved wood, with a hollowed back richly worked in symmetrical and organic motifs. The backrest has a cut-out shape with an arched finish and carved details on the upper edges, giving it a noble and decorative look. The front legs are curved in cabriolet style, ending in claw feet, while the back legs remain straight and simple. The structure is without the upholstered seat, emphasising the sturdy frame and the quality of the craftsmanship. Made from noble wood, the varnished finish in a medium tone emphasises the veins and enhances the traditional aesthetic of the piece.
Ideal for restoration, this chair is representative of 18th century Portuguese furniture and has a strong decorative value. It can be used in living rooms, halls or classic environments as a single piece or integrated into period sets.
