1950s stacking dining chairs by ESA James Leonard - Lamstak - 50+ in stock 1950s rare vintage James Leonard ESA Esavian stacking dining chairs - 50+ In stock. This is one of our favourite model of chairs. Designed by James Leonard for the ESA company it was an iconic school/church/community chair of the 1950s. The chair frame is made of exceptionally strong laminated beech with laminated ply seats and back supports. In our view James Leonard is the unsung hero of British Post War design. His ESA company transformed the design led fit out of schools in the post war period but his legacy is hardly known. Snap up these chairs whilst they are still affordable. We have a number of these chairs available, mostly all stamped ESA and are selling them in any multiple required, sets of four, six, eight or simply in singles. We service and wax each chair individually before they leave our workshop and we deliver chairs of excellent quality. We specialize in high quality vintage dining chairs and have a large range. We only sell the very best chairs in great condition with rich color and patina. We are also undertaking a research mission to record and celebrate the design of James Leonard and welcome input and support from fellow aficionados! Measure: Seat height 45cm. Workshop report Our workshop team inspect every product and carry out any needed repairs to ensure that everything leaves us serviced and maintained ready for many more years of life. All of our vintage products show the rich beauty and history of their life with the knocks and bumps of many years of use and we try to minimize restoration to keep every piece as original as possible.
