19th Century antique 4 Biedermeier Saber Legs Chairs Solid Mahogany

About the Item

4 chairs of the German Biedermeier. Solid mahogany. The striking shape with the wide-legged saber legs and the encircling backrest board was rediscovered in classicism, circa 1800. In this specimen, however, the pure basic form of the Klismos still exists. It was probably produced, circa 1820. Horsehair fabric.
