About the Item

Dining chair with cane backrest. With turned decorative elements that evoke an eclectic style from the late 19th to early 20th centuries, the upper part of the backrest is decorated with small turned columns, interspersed and fitted into a straight frame, while the vertical side columns feature simple geometric carvings. The seat is flat and made of solid wood, with signs of wear. The front legs are also turned, ending in biscuit-shaped feet, connected by straight crossbars that reinforce the structure. The rear legs are straight and a little simpler, enhancing the aesthetic hierarchy of the piece at the front. The general condition suggests a need for restoration, especially in the seat and wood finish, which does not compromise the historical value of the chair.
