From Family Vocation to Avant-garde Furniture: The studio that transformed a metalworking shop's daily routine into Brazilian design. Estúdio Few, an emerging name in Rio de Janeiro's furniture design scene, has captured the attention of discerning eyes by combining industrial aesthetics with contemporary functionality. Founded by Mateus Salimena, Few Studio may have only emerged in 2023, but its story begins much earlier in his family's metalworking shop. "I grew up in my parents' company, a small metalworking shop that provided services to other companies, and they both always harbored many frustrations about the market. So, when I started working there, we decided to create our own product, focused on the end user, with the intention of changing the course of the business, well before we had a brand name or knew exactly what we would produce." The name Few arose from a combination of elements from the periodic table, Fe (Iron) and W (Tungsten), reflecting the essence of the main raw material used and the welding technology employed in manufacturing. With an approach that values the intersection between personality and functionality, Few aims to create pieces that not only meet current desires but also engage directly with consumers through new perspectives and design innovation. Less effort and more durability are the brand's vision for a more sustainable design.
