Antique Arts & Crafts Mission Morris Chair by "Brooks" - Stickley Era - W7454 This is a nice "Brooks" Morris Chair in very good condition. It is a bulky chair, larger than normal. Made in the early 1900s, the chair has it's original finish. The chair has been re-upholstery using the finest quality handspun black leather and filled with cotton and hair (NO FOAM!). The chair also has the original spring seats. On one arm you can see a minor water stain, the original finish and patina is great but if you like we can refinish the two arms. The chair is with original spring seat, before we sent for upholstery we sent the seat to adjust the springs. PLEASE NOT: 95% or more so called Arts and Crafts Stickley furniture are NOT by Stickley, these furniture made in the DESIGN of Stickley furniture and some marked STICKLEY AU these furniture build in the last 40 yrs or so. IN 1970s a man purchase the BRAND NAME " L&jG stickley" from LeoStickley widow before she pass and build many copy of Gustav Stickley. These furniture build with NO THRU TENON construction they add pcs of wood to each side using glue to fool the buyer as they buying a pc of furniture made like GUSTAV STICKLEY pc of furniture. We can buy many these repro furniture for $200 $400 a pc buy we do not sell these furniture because buyer assume we selling fake Stickley. Lately sellers of these furniture asking very high prices.
