About the Item

This is a very rare pair of antique Charles Limbert pieces - Chair & Rocker Set. They are signed with the Limbert mark. Made with a wonderful selection of oak. Both pieces are in mint original finish, all sharp edges and not a drop of overcoat. (You just don’t see chairs like these around very often!). The cushions have been reupholstered - we use only the finest quality, hand rubbed leather and cotton and hair filling (NO foam). We take pictures outdoors so that you may see the true wood color and grain. No studio photos with make up or lighting. You will receive exactly what you see in the photos. Dimensions: Chair - Width 29", Height 41", Depth 28" Rocker - Width 29", Height 39", Depth 28" We have a number of other Limbert items that might match these chairs (other chairs,, a settle, etc.). Let us know if you would be interested in seeing these listed on 1stDibs also. We purchase most of our Stickley and Limbert furniture from well known collections in New York and in Philadelphia. We may pay a little more but we get the BEST. We have over 5,000 pieces of real Stickley, Roycroft, and Limbert furniture. We buy from collections in New York and Pennsylvania. We buy only the best. We pay a little more than other dealers, but we get only the very best. We don't deal with "problem" furniture. BTW - We have dealt with original Gustav Stickley items (circa early 1900s) since early 1970s in New York. For the last 44 yrs we have had a retail shop on Rt 15 in Shamokin Dam, Pennsylvania. We will ship this piece either directly to your home (in Northeast US) or via freight. It will then be delivered to a freight terminal near you where you must then pick it up. Unless the piece is delivered directly to your home, it must be picked up at the freight terminal. We will send you contact information for the terminal, along with documents showing the tracking number. (The containers are large and full of foam to be sure the furniture arrives safely. You can take the chairs from the containers and drop all the packing in the terminal. This will save you lots of work.) These are large chairs. It will take two very large boxes to pack them safely. We only tell you this so you understand why the shipping cost is so high.
