About the Item
Antique and characterful Wheel Back Windsor chair made of elm and beech, at the back the initials JG, United Kingdom, late 19th century.
Simplistic and pure design, steam-bent wood, a saddle-shaped seat, the bars of the backrest are incorporated in the seat, a single H-rule connection at the bottom.
This chair is in good antique condition, traces of age and use consistent with age, the armrests are slightly loose in the connections but still very sturdy, old traces of woodworm (they always have) in the backrest, superficial scratches on the seat, but nothing disturbing, check the photos for more details!
