About the Item

c. 2024 This uniquely handcrafted furniture piece is entirely made in the U.S.A and is a part of a production run of only 12 pieces. Each chair is numbered with a signature stamp of its addition on the seat. The Bubble Chair is an inviting addition to a space with its soft features for a rather formal object. The scale of this chair provides true comfort, not wishing to be stuck and squeezed into a space. This chair asks you to make room, settle in, and slow down. Influenced by traditional woodworking craftsmanship, the bubbly legs are turned on the lathe and joined by large mortise and tenons. The sling seat is handcrafted with either leather or cushioned upholstery. The hardwood maple is treated with a light water based top coat to preserve the natural beauty of the grain. Water based top coats are a great way to preserve wood. However, be kind to your Bubble Chair and take care in the natural finish of the wood which can be more fragile. Also keep in mind, leather should not bake in direct sunlight to best preserve color and tenacity. Leather sling’s relax with time which makes them more personal to you and your home. If you wish to adjust your leather sling over time simply tighten the straps like a belt behind and under the chair.
