The graceful Elé chair epitomises the tensions at play within many of the collection’s pieces, with a design that experiments with both form and dimension. It touches the ground lightly, belying the strength of the wooden frame, while the front legs feature an unexpected twist, subtly transitioning from square to round at the seat. The almost flat front and curved back and arm structure create a solid D-shape when viewed from above, which seems almost at odds with the slender lines of the chair’s profile. This results in a chair that is refined, elegant and graphic at the same time.
