Fine Antique Chinese Chippendale Painted Side Chair
About the Item
A delightful and very colorful Chippendale style side chair with faux bamboo wood frame, inset back with red painted faux bamboo frame and Rose tone fabric seat and back. The painting is astonishing with a Mustard base having delicate circle accents and Chinese emblems and fin motifs in red with gold line work. The faux bamboo frame has delicate Green painted segments and there is a carved Red band above the inset back which continues the Asian theme.
Dimensions: 19” wide by 21” deep by 34.75” high. Seat height 17”.
Condition: Please see detail photos. Various signs of age include sporadic stable paint losses and chips as well as some nicks and rubs to the frame which do not detract not detract from the incredible Chippendale presentation.
