Four Italian Dining Chairs Empire Style Red Gold Upholstery 20th Century

About the Item

A set of four solid walnut chairs in the fabulous Empire style with ormolu decorations, made in Italy in the 20th century, in good condition. The walnut frame is beautiful in color and has been embellished with striking ormolu mounts typical of the era, finely cast and gilded elaborate bronze mount to the backs. Curved cabriole legs ending with carved hoof feet. They have been new upholstered in a fabulous red and gold patterned damask silk of French origin. Condition: In good age related condition having been beautifully polished and upholstered, see photos for confirmation, only two small bronze elements missing, two arrows. They date back to the second half of 20th century and come from a private residence of Milan. Measures: Height 90 cm Width 50 cm Depth 52 cm. Under existing legislation, any artwork in Italy created over 70 years ago requires a governative license for export called Belle Arti. The shipping may require additional 2/3 handling weeks to require and get the license according to the final destination of the artwork.
