French 19th Century Louis XV St. Child’s Chair

About the Item

A very charming French 19th century Louis XV st. child's chair. The chair is raised by fine cabriole legs with elegant scrolled feet. Above each leg is a lovely foliate carving, centered by an arbalest shaped frieze, with a striking carved seashell reserve. The upholstered back support displays a beautiful lyre shape and displays a richly carved foliate reserve at the top. With all original gilt throughout.
