About the Item
This rare and charming Kristian Solmer Vedel bent plywood Chair, designed in 1957, embodies the essence of Danish design with its perfect blend of functionality and beauty. Designed for children, this piece showcases Vedel's innovative approach at the time for ergonomic seating while maintaining a playful yet elegant form. Crafted with precision by Orskov & Co. in Denmark, this chair is a wonderful example of good timeless design. Although we do not recommend this piece to be used as a child’s chair it is aesthetically beautiful and would look fantastic as a standalone piece.
The piece is in good vintage condition. The plywood is worn in several areas but not splitting. The painted seat and tray show signs of wear especially where they can be removed for adjustment.
