About the Item

Pair of chairs model "292 Hill House 1" designed by Mackintosh. Made of black lacquered ashwood structure and upholstered in linen with black and white rectangular patterned design, Italy, 1960s. Charles Rennie Mackintosh (7 June 1868 – 10 December 1928) was a Scottish architect, designer, water colorist and artist. His artistic approach had much in common with European Symbolism. His work, alongside that of his wife Margaret Macdonald, was influential on European design movements such as Art Nouveau and Secessionism and praised by great modernists such as Josef Hoffmann. Mackintosh was born in Glasgow and died in London. Every item LA Studio offers is checked by our team of 10 craftsmen in our in-house workshop. Special restoration or reupholstery requests can be done. Lighting can be electrified to the required voltage. Every piece design of LA Studio or new production as they are made with natural materials or made by artisans, may vary in wood color, marble color or wood grain, etc. Take into account that the colors on the furniture may vary depending on the type of lighting and the type of screen from which you see the images.

Italy / 1970 / 2 Argyle Chairs / Charles Rennie Mackintosh / Atelier International / wood, vinyl / Mid-century / Vintage Pair of Argyle Chairs in black sold wood with red vinyl seats. The Argyle chairs are designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh in 1897 for Atelier International, and exhibited at the Eighth Secession Exhibition in Vienna, Austria in 1900. It is one of the most iconic chairs of the famous Scottish architect, designer and painter Charles Rennie Mackintosh, the most famous of the Glasgow Movement. Charles Rennie Mackintosh’s Argyle chair...
