This midcentury modernist chair is just perfect in every way. The build quality is exceptional and probably executed by a master craftsman. As it is completely constructed out of solid oak and the proportions are dead on this is probably a one of commissioned piece. Perhaps a custom project or a prototype for a architect or designer.

- Condition:Repaired: We kept this chair in its original patina but strengthened the underside of the seat. The leather is well worn but not ripped and with this invisible reenforcement it can be used while still preserving its wonderful patina. Wear consistent with age and use.

A good authentic set of two Chandigarh chairs. Artisanally and locally made with pegged solid teak and braided canework in the 1960s. This type is known as the Library chair. The x- “frame” is beautifully complemented with the convex 'banner' type backrest.
Previously restored preserving their patina and sturdy enough for everyday use. The original lettering and numbering (referring to their place in one of the government buildings still present.
