"Stripped away from all excess, this hanging chair has a circular frame with the sheet of leather hanging loose within it, to create a sleek, sexy, and oh so comfortable experience. This chair’s clean lines and lightness makes it a perfect fit for any space.
Each design is carved out of thick Vegetable Tan Leather leaving an exposed and undyed trench or valley that forms the beautiful picture of your choice. The options available are a variety of African faces, plants and South Africa’s beloved Blue Crane. Any option you choose is bound to be a show-stopper and a hot topic of discussion.
Each one is handmade with care by our craftsmen. Form-fitting comfort, perfect for any indoor spaces.
The beauty of leather is that each hide has natural markings and features, which means that each piece is unique, with its own personality.
We embrace these characteristics and individuality of the hides we use. There might be slight colour variations. The craftmanship and skill of the artist’s hand constitutes an inherent part of the making of your particular piece, a feature we celebrate as part of the creative process.

Studio Stirling's passion is designing unique Hanging Swing Chairs, Loungers, Daybeds and Swings, which we then make by hand! The collection is designed by multiple award winning designer team Joanina and David Pastoll.
All of them are ideal for inside or outside use and look gorgeous on a deck, patio, hanging from a branch of a tree or anywhere indoors. They are great used as functional art pieces or a signature item.
As each one is made by hand it therefor allows for each piece to have individualism and uniqueness in some of the pattern detailing due to the variance of craftsmanship. They are made from steel - so very strong and durable, E coated for rust protection (like on the chassis of a car) and then powder coated. Form-fitting comfort, ergonomic design perfect both for indoor and outdoor spaces: choose yours from our collection.
