About the Item
A highly unusual Imperial Revival style Grand Tour period armchair.
Black walnut with walnut and satinwood inlay and pen work detail. Beautifully carved legs and paw feet, and having a Greek Key design along the back.
In 52 years of being an antique dealer this is the only one I've seen like this.
In remarkable condition with a rich and warm original patina, has some expected minor shrinkage and stress cracks but is structurally sound and sturdy.
