About the Item
The shaped crest rails with inlaid palmette and leaves, the seats raised on serpentine skirt rails with inlaid leafy motifs on the front and scrolls on the sides. The square cabriole front legs with pendant acanthus leaves, all legs capped with leaf decorated brass. Newly upholstered in a designer animal print fabric with chinoiserie figural panels and flowers.
Measures: height 38", wide 19 1/2", depth 22", seat H. 19"
Condition: One of the chairs has loose joinery and stable age cracks to the top crest with a loose brass inset (Restoration recommended) and loss of one brass foot cap with the chairs retaining an exceptional presentation.

This is a gorgeous pair of fancy, very highly carved Louis XV armchairs with gold leaf gilded details. The frames are extremely formal and ornate and the upholstery appears very clean for a used set of chairs. There may be minor signs fo age and use on the upholstery but it's not noticable to us.
