About the Item

Pair of antique scandinavian country style farmer armchairs. Handcrafted of wood by a Danish cabinetmaker in late 19th century with carvings and cord seats. The chairs are handpainted with blue and red paint most likely in the 1970s. The chairs are in the style of swedish Axel Einar Hjorth and danish Thorvald Bindesbøll. The cabinetmaker may very well have been inspired by them. Good antique condition with signs of wear and tear - see images The cord seats are in good condition.
