Pair of Period Stockholm Made Rococo Side Chairs with Carved Decoration
About the Item
A pair of Stockholm made Rococo chairs scraped to original paint, with carved splats, cabriole legs, H-Form cross stretchers, and new linen upholstery. Created in the 18th century, each of this pair of Rococo period side chairs features a tall slightly curving back, adorned with a carved splat. Each chair is raised on four legs, cabriole in the front and turned with slight saber accentuation in the back.
These legs are connected to one another thru the H-formed stretcher for strengthening. The patina is scraped and nicely weathered. The chairs are painted in a soft color typical of that period. Seat depth is 16".
