About the Item

Qoticher chair Measures: Cm: Ø44 x 48 seat 80 back cm Inches: Ø17 x 19 seat 32 back in Any RAL metallic structure with synthetic velvet seat. Can be made to order in other colors/dimensions upon request Ángel Mombiedro Mombiedro's work is nourished by accumulated references throughout his life. Born in Madrid, with training in Hamburg and São Paulo and professional experience in New York, drawing a career that grows through exploration in different branches of the discipline and at different scales; from exhibition design to New York skyscrapers through interior design and brand design. The differentiating value of Mombiedro's work is its way of leaning on the different trades, incorporating the advice of experts in metal, stone and textiles, designing and working together with them. The result is an artisanal product made entirely in small workshops in Madrid in which each piece is made manually on request and individually. This direct attention allows a personalization of each object through a dialogue without intermediaries between designer and buyer. In this way, each solution is unique and respectful with the individuality of the client, turning each piece into a collector's item.

Cadeira Chair by Macheia
Located in Geneve, CH
Cadeira Chair by Macheia Handmade In Portugal. Dimensions: D 45 x W 45 x H 88 cm. Materials: Natural dried bulrush and galvanized iron. The chair’s concept is rooted in the notion that every spiral starts around a hand. The hole, the imprint of the creator’s hand, is here highlighted by the organically shaped metal back, pointing out where the chair begins. The rhythm of the metal elements of the chair is set by the stitches from the technique. The technique is seen through a new lens, raw and exposed, bringing it closer to its identity as a plant. The Collection zooms in the Bunho technique - a unique portuguese basketry technique that shapes the natural fiber Bulrush (Schoenoplectrus Palla), into a intricate mesh of knots and stitches. Nowadays, the Bunho technique is kept by the hands and know-how of only two artisans in Europe, One of them is Manuel Ferreira...
