Rare Postmodern Cantilever Bentwood Chair by Randers, Scandinavian Modern
About the Item
Black painted bentwood and tubular steel cantilevered chair made by Randers Mobelfabrik in Denmark -- for the offices of Kroin in Cambridge, Massachusetts in the early 1980s. Kroin is a manufactuer and distributer of park and garden furniture, and their offices (and corporate identity) were designed by none other than Lello and Massimo Vignelli.
The bottom of the seat is embossed "Randers 001" and carries a sticker identifying the Kroin connection.
Good vintage condition with honest wear. Paint wear to edges, as would be expected. Scuffs to metal.
Measures 30" high x 16.5" deep x 19" wide.
