Lovely design and colors for this chair by Fischel, a company launched in the late 19th century and following in the same vein as Thonet and Köhn. The style here is reminiscent of Dutch 1920s De Stijl aesthetics.
Of minimalist, pared-down design; thoughtfully made, comfortable and visually striking. Original red and white paint.
The manufacturer's label is attached to the back of the chair, with their logo and Paris address of the time: Paris XIX°, 15, Rue de Tanger.
