About the Item

Black lacquered chairs with deep red-edged detailing by Max Papiri - functional art and collectible design. Originally designed on request for the private residence of Mario Sabot, these striking pieces embody a bold architectural presence. The chairs feature straight cut-out backrests and rectangular seats, resting on sculptural polygonal bases. The deep red lacquer accentuates the edges, adding depth and contrast to the sleek black finish. Once part of Sabot’s personal collection, they show signs of wear consistent with age, including minor losses on the corners of the backrests and bases, which add to their authenticity and history. Two available, priced individually.
