About the Item
A set of six New England Hitchcock Style chairs. Hand painted / stenciled and gilt with a deep and rich patination from years of good wear. The seats are woven rush seats and are in very good original condition.
In remarkable original antique condition, sturdy and stable.
American, early 19th century.
We have 2 extra chairs that are part of this set, one has a damaged apron and old repairs and the other shows wear but is usable and sturdy. If you are interested we will include these free of charge.
