Set of 4 chairs model 771, it is often called "the tongue chair" because of its design. It was published by Steiner in 1958. The vintage velvet of the chairs is authentic, so it may have some defects due to its age but still in very good condition.
Joseph-André Motte (1925 - 2013) was an interior architect and one of the great figures of French design in the 1950s and 1960s.
At the École des arts appliqués à l'industrie (now ENSAAMA), he studied under René Gabriel, Louis Sognot and Albert Guénot, graduating top of his class in 1948. He then obtained his first collaboration with the Bon Marché art studio. One of his first models, the Tripodes...

Since the launch of our gallery in late 2017, we have exported over 1200 items to buyers in 21 countries located in all four corners of the world from Europe and North America to Asia and Australia. In the United-States alone, we have ensured the delivery of over 150 pieces of all sizes (from massive dining tables to small decorative objects) in 23 states.
We take the utmost attention to our packaging by building robust made to measure boxes in our atelier with the aim of providing safe and cost-effective delivery prices for every client.
