On offer on this occasion is an ultra-rare identical pair of “Kennedee” armchairs from the world renown Italian furniture house of Poltrona Frau which, somewhat remarkably, was a special-order commission made for Ferrari and, uniquely, possesses “Prancing Horse” embossed branding.
As you will no doubt be aware by your interest in this Jean Marie Massaud masterpiece, Poltrona Frau pieces are the epitome of contemporary European furniture design, are of peerless quality, and exhibit detailing and execution of an unrivalled standard.
In a world of temporary pleasures, Poltrona Frau create beautiful furniture that remains a joy forever, with none so sought-after, bespoke and desirable as this.
Poltrona Frau armchairs presented in this spectacular order are rare enough on the pre-loved market but, dressed in this most stunning and tactile high-grade “Pelle Frau 51 SC” leather option in a striking, versatile “Taupe” hue, and being custom-made specifically for Ferrari with the “prancing horse” motif embossed on the outside-arm panel, they are as rare as Hen’s teeth! Spectacularly sought-after as, whilst being as robust and hard-wearing as rhino skin, its softness and texture is simply divine to the touch. The perfect blend of luxury and practicality.
This pair of armchairs is in superb, impeccably-maintained condition, having seen light, infrequent use in its previous home at Ferrari, and is almost entirely free from fault, flaw or damage. Its hugely handsome order reflects the TLC and considerate use afforded it in the past but, as you would think normal when considering the nature and colour of this particular hide covering, it does possess a bare-minimum of visible, but inconsequential marks, as you would expect.

Whilst it could not be considered truly-perfect due to the reasons stated above, it is guaranteed to meet the requirements of all but the most-uncompromising of perfectionists and, for someone looking for a pair of armchairs of high-design to position at the heart of their home, it is truly heaven sent! Without question, this superb suite possesses all the beauty and majesty you would expect from the finest contemporary furniture money can buy.
That said, should perfection be demanded, we are able to organise for the few minor (and i mean minor) blemishes currently present to be attended to by a leather specialist upon request, with the modest renovation costs (approx £200) to be covered by the buyer in addition to the purchase price.
Dimensions-wise, the measurements of each armchair are H- 69cm, W- 81cm and D-77cm, and the breathtaking seating position this iconic informal-design creates is enhanced by the use of sumptuously upholstered composite-filled back, seat and arm cushioning, which leaves you powerless to resist its charms.
With a standard pair costing in excess of £9000 when new, for something of this rarity and provenance it represents spectacular value for money, and we have no doubt it will serve and delight its new owner for many years to come.
