About the Item
Created in the style of Italian manufacturer ‘Vivai Del Sud’, creating a dense texture of Pencil Reed Bamboo.
Timeless and captivating, this chair instantly elevates in any space.
Brothers Giorgio and Piero di Pierro founded Vivai del Sud in 1950, drawing inspiration from their Southern Italian roots in Puglia, their designs captured the essence of Mediterranean living. Often collaborating with local artisans to add authenticity to their designs.
Initially a landscape business, their pieces were used to furnish the winter gardens of Roman Palazzos, branching out into interior design and later architecture in the 1970’s when their furniture became popular in luxury hotels, restaurants and private residences across Italy.
Focusing on using the best materials, they became known for their signature use of Pencil Reed.
