1950s Mid-Century Upholstered Chaise With Attached Table
About the Item
This European mid-century modern Chaise is beautifully upholstered in a green and cream silk blend fabric. I believe this might be a much earlier version of the "svanette" sofa designed by ilmar relling and haldor vik for the svane ekornes factory, manufactured in the 1960s. The sofa is made of beech. This piece integrates seamlessly into many different decors.

Beside Carlos Hauner, Martin Eisler (1913-1977) was the founder for the iconic Brazilian furniture company Forma. He was born in Vienna, Austria, and studied architecture in his country.
