19th Century French Napoleon III Style Chaise Lounge W/ Blue Velvet

About the Item

A traditional late 19th-century French chaise or daybed lounge in the taste of Napoleon III, sourced from Provence, France. This piece is hand-crafted from solid wood, featuring an elegant square back and gracefully curved arms. The chaise has undergone a structural restoration, including newly redone springs, and retains its original blue velvet upholstery. The fabric is clean-finished with an invisible hand stitch and is adorned with a rope-trim skirt at the seat’s base. It rests on carved walnut legs with a naturally aged patina.
