This beautiful Black Leather ‘Skye’ Chaise Longue is a timeless piece designed by Tord Björklund for Ikea Sweden in the 1970s. Tord Björklund is a Swedish designer who worked for IKEA from 1978 to 2010. He is best known for designing some of IKEA's most popular products, including the Billy bookcase and the Lack table. Björklund studied at the University College of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm and joined IKEA as a designer in 1978. He quickly became a key figure in the company, designing many of their most successful products. In addition to the Billy bookcase and the Lack table, he also designed the Pax wardrobe system and the Markor bookcase. Björklund retired from IKEA in 2010 but remains a respected figure in the world of design.
