About the Item
W.F. Tubbs of Norway, ME (1906-1939) "Sno-Shu" armchair with 3-stage adjustable back, with accompanying footstool which attaches between the front legs of the chair converting it to a chaise lounge. W.F. Tubbs was the largest manufacturer of snowshoes, dog sleds and chairs in the early 20th century. They used traditional methods of bent wood with knotted rawhide webbing.
