About the Item
A handsome restored, pair of traditional 1930s French Art Deco club chairs sourced from Provence, France. Beautifully hand-crafted from solid maple wood. Each chairs features an elegant square-shaped back with rounded corners. Structurally restored for lasting stability, the wood has been gently refinished in a dark brown tone that brings out the natural wear and character beneath the surface. Newly reupholstered in a lovely cotton white woven performance fabric featuring subtle herringbone texture. The upholstery has been decorated with conturing piping trim around the back frame to empahasite the shape and seat to mimick a cushion in dark blue color from the same fabric. The bridge arm from the inner and outer side have been decorated with welt band trim and spaced out large nailhead trim. Solid, stable, and expertly made, these chairs embody the timeless elegance and clean lines of traditional French Art Deco period.
