Pair of 19th Century English Walnut Wing Back Chairs

About the Item

Pair of wonderfully proportioned 19th century upholstered wing back chairs. The back of the chair has a lovely bow at the top and sides for an interesting and comfortable shape. The seats measure 22.5 inches in height and the arms measure 27.5 inches in height. The front legs are gorgeous and are hand carved and shaped so that your eyes are drawn to the carved knees and upward scrolls immediately. They have a central carved shell for added importance to the overall appearance of these fine chairs. The back legs are splayed exceptionally to give not only balance and comfort to the chair, but also for a richer and more prominent appearance from the side of the chairs.
