About the Item

Beautiful set of Vidales arm chairs in mahogany with distinctive bronze details that embody Octavio Vidales' renowned craftsmanship. These chairs have been newly upholstered in luxurious Spanish Artek fabric, offering not only rarity but also exceptional comfort and grandeur. Sold exclusively as a set, these unmarked pieces stand as a testament to Vidales' iconic design aesthetic. Hailing from Mexico City in the late 1950s and early 1960s, Octavio Vidales created furniture with a fuller silhouette inspired by classic Mexican hacienda pieces from the 1800s. Like Arturo Pani, Vidales has become a highly sought after designer for Mid-Century modern pieces from Mexico. Our vintage pieces show the passage of time as we leave them in the original condition in which they were found. As a consequence, signs of wear and patina should be expected. Please refer to images for condition details.
