On offer on this occasion is a rare, original "Barcelona" Daybed from the world renown furniture house of Alivar, dressed in the most sublime, tactile pale-cream leather, and with polished chrome framework.
As you will no doubt be aware by your interest in this Mies van der Rohe masterpiece, Alivar pieces are the epitome of contemporary furniture design, are of peerless quality, and exhibit detailing and execution of an unrivalled standard.
In a world of temporary pleasures, Alivar create beautiful furniture that remains a joy forever, and there can be few more-beautiful examples of this timeless icon of design than this.
This piece is in superb, original beautifully-maintained condition, reflecting the regular employment it has seen in the past, and is entirely free from fault, flaw or damage. Its fine order reflects the TLC and remarkably considerate-use afforded it in the past and, aside from some light marking to the leather-areas and piping of the cushion (as you would expect when considering the nature of this lightly-sealed leather) is as handsome as is possible to imagine.
