1960s Side Chair By Antonin Suman For Ton – Double Cut Out
1960s Side Chair By Antonin Suman For Ton – Double Cut Out. Antonin Suman joined Thonet in 1949 and later moved to the Thonet offshoot Ton when the firms split during the post-war political upheaval in the region. This chair was produced by the famous Czech firm Ton, still trading today and producing beautiful chairs. Suman was a prolific and revered designer and this chair is a beautiful example of his Craft. We have gently restored the frame but kept the original character and patina which is what this chair is all about. A strong sturdy chair with stunning detail. We service each chair individually before it leaves our workshop and we deliver chairs of excellent quality. Seat height 44cm.

Our workshop team inspect every product and carry out any needed repairs to ensure that everything leaves us serviced and maintained ready for many more years of life. All of our vintage products show the rich beauty and history of their life with the knocks and bumps of many years of use and we try to minimise restoration to keep every piece as original as possible.
