About the Item

Empire style chair with inlays. Elegant, with pronounced curves, it evokes a classic style, possibly inspired by 19th century Empire or Regency design. The backrest is formed by three horizontal crossbars, with the central one having a diamond shape in the center, creating a discreet decorative detail. The rear uprights extend continuously to the rear legs, forming a gentle arch, while the front uprights, straight and simple, support the structure with stability. The seat is missing, revealing the frame that supported it, which allows a better view of the fitting and assembly techniques of the furniture. The curved lines and harmonious proportions suggest careful aesthetic care, although the piece shows signs of time and wear on the wood, without, however, compromising its structural integrity. A chair that, although incomplete, has historical value and potential for restoration with stylistic fidelity.
