About the Item
This dining chair in walnut with a hand woven rush seat is our original studio dining chair and brings together many signature Boyd & Allister design elements. The tapered legs give it a lightness that pairs well with many of our dining tables. The rush seat, woven by hand in our shop, is not only pretty but also very comfortable. The clean geometry of the design is softened with a rounded edge profile on the legs. The seat is made with visible bridle-jointed rails and the Wenge peg detail highlights its joinery to the leg below. The wood chosen for the back rest is selected for exceptional grain and the line is curved for comfort. It is seen in walnut with an oil and wax finish and also available in a variety of domestic hardwoods.

Boyd & Allister is a custom furniture studio located in Santa Fe, New Mexico. We have been hand making furniture for designers and architects around the country since 2010. We custom make each piece using traditional joinery methods and hand select each piece of wood. We source our wood from small sawyers around the country who bring the same level of care to their craft as we bring to ours. Many of our designs are inspired by mid century masters; timeless with clean lines, allowing the beauty of the wood to shine.
