About the Item
Antique desk chair. with a curved backrest that extends to the armrests, forming a continuous piece. The backrest is low and enveloping, with a smooth finish and discreet detail of vertical balusters. The seat is fixed, made of molded wood, with a carved design in the center and nails all around, suggesting that it was originally upholstered or decorated with leather. The front legs are turned, while the rear legs are slightly curved and simple. The structure is solid but shows visible signs of wear such as scratches, stains and small flaws in the wood. The piece has a functional design, but with subtle decorative touches, typical of work furniture from the first half of the 20th century.
