Four French Early Modernist Wood Dining Chairs with Inlaid Brass Grid Back
About the Item
Set of four French Early Modern dining chairs. The chairs have a sober, Proto- Modern sensibility with a back splat in the form of perpendicular grid. Brass and mother of pearl are inlaid into the centre panel of each splat. These chairs are hand-crafted and reflective of the Arts and Crafts aesthetics which germinated the Modern movements in Jugendstil, Art Nouveau, Viennese Secession Wiener Werkstatte , Bauhaus and the International Style. Priced and sold as a set of 4.
