About the Item
Pair of dining chairs, straw, ash, France, 1960s
This pair of side chairs features a solid wooden frame with robust cylindrical legs, elegantly connected by slim horizontal stretchers. The seats and backrests are executed in straw. The way this set is designed shows a strong resemblance to the ´Dordogne´ chairs designed by Charlotte Perriand. Particularly the characteristic method of folding straw rope vertically, which leaves this typical horizontal line in the middle of the back and the seat.
Please note that these chairs are in good, used condition. There are some small damages and discolorations visible in the straw. For further details, we encourage you to reach out to our team of design specialists.
